Paralegal Specialist (International Narcotics & Money Laundering)


Salary:  $61,722 - $97,087 per year

Duties include:


  • Organizes and prepares research material and determines information that is pertinent to the case.
  • Drafts legal documents that identify the legal or factual issues in the case, locate, precedents and develop legally supportable conclusions.
  • May assist Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSA) in court during hearings and trials.
  • Participates in pre-trial witness conferences, noting any deficiencies in case materials (e.g., missing documents, conflicting statements) and additional issues or other matters requiring investigation prior to trial.
  • Determines which statutes, regulations, cases, procedures and/or policies need to be researched and assembled, prepping initial summary and making recommendations as to appropriateness of data.

Parsons Behle & Latimer, a regional law firm, has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant in our Missoula, Montana office. Position requires 3+ years of legal experience in litigation, transactional or both, in a professional legal setting. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; careful attention to detail; and excellent organizational and communication skills. Law firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include supporting attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and providing virtual backup legal assistance for any of our other offices when needed. Educational achievement may be considered in lieu of experience.

Primary Responsibilities
